Kava

Kava is a plant from the pepper family and they can be purchased at pharmacy in bottled, sprayed form. Kava is a safe sleep relaxant and the recommended dosage ranges from 60mg to 180mg. Usually a 100mg dosage is ample to provide the needed sleep relief.

Check how much kava is each spray before spraying. Take a spray of the recommended dosage under the tongue, 30 minutes before sleeping.

 

Passion Flower

Passion flower is one of the best herbs for insomnia cures. It is also known as Passion Vine, Apricot Vine,  Maracoc and Maypop. From the ancient days, it has been used as a tranquilizer to calm the nerves.

Other than doing a perfect job in calming down the nerves, it and relax the muscle to reduce spasms.

To get the most out from passion flower, get a teaspoon (2g) of dried passion flower and put in a filter bag for 5 minutes with the boiling water. Consume 30~45 minutes before sleeping

 

Lavender 

Lavender is extremely effective as an sleeping aid. Research has been done and lavender has shown that it is able to relax the entire nervous system comparable to tranquilizers used in hospitals!

Lavender can be used in various forms such as massage essential oils, as aromatherapy oil for inhaling or as a beverage.

To consume as a beverage, get a filter bag and put 1 teaspoon of lavender in it. Mixed with pouring water and allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes.

You may add in other herbs for an more interesting taste.

 

Honey and Milk

This is one of the easiest to make insomnia natural remedies at home. As the name states, add 1 teaspoon of honey into a glass of warm milk. Drink just before sleeping.
